Early morning entrance to the Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World, Florida, made it possible for me to try out a new form of transportation on Main Street, USA when there weren’t so many customers. Well, they didn’t let me drive it for real, just sit in the driver’s seat and pretend.

A sign by this car in the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum,Canyon, Texas stated that it was “One of the most expensive automobiles available at the time in the Texas Panhandle, this 1930 Cadillac V-16 sedan represented the ultimate in conspicuous consumption.”

Captured this image of the Holy Ascension Russian Orthodox Church in Unalaska from Summer Bay Road. It is hard to imagine that this church built in 1896 was used as a warehouse during WWII.

In your travels on Unalaska you will see Ammunition Bunkers such as this one built into the hill sides, remains of WWII and the military buildup.

During WWII there were three underground medical facilities built on the the island. Pyramid Valley, Strawberry Hill and the one in this image at Dutch Harbor. There was a wooden building in front of the concrete structure in this image, it was razed by the Unalaska fire department and last lumber burned in mid 1980s.
