Dragonfly

The ponds at the Garden of the Amazon attracted dragonflies and I was able to capture this image of one, with the skin from its nymph stage attached to the lower side of the flower.

Banded Pennant (Dragonfly)

This is another Dragonfly image captured while visiting a pond at H. Cooper Black Jr. Field Trial Area, South Carolina. We beleive that this is an immature male dragonfly.

Calico Pennant (Dragonfly)

H. Cooper Black Jr. Field Trial Area, South Carolina, has ponds that provide great places to photograph Dragonflies. Here are two mating in a position called a Wheel. The male is red and the female green in this image.
