Another early morning visitor out searching food. This Nuthatch was very active as it moved from tree to tree and around them as it searched for breakfast.

View From Hot Springs Northern Mountain Loop Drive

After spending a day visiting Hot Springs National Park and walking some of the trails we drove the Hot Springs Mountain Drive and on the Northern Loop of the drive captured this image of the park from an overlook. It had been overcast most of the day, but the sun began peaking through as evening approached lighting up the valley below.

Pair of Wood Ducks

On an early morning walk I spotted this pair of Wood Ducks enjoying the sunlight streaking through the trees and warming their bodies. The morning light provided excellent color for the camera to capture.  Taken while visiting Atlanta State Park, Texas.

White-tipped Dove

The White-tipped Doves were out feeding early in the morning at Reserva Jorupe, Loja, Ecuador where I captured this image while on a birding trip by Wildside Nature Tours and lead by Edison  Buenano.

The female Blue Ground-dove is brown wihtout a hint of blue, looks like it should be a different species. Image captured in Southern Ecuador while on a birding trip lead by Edison  Buenano.
