Carolina Wren

This Wren loves to search throught the clutter on the forest floor looking for food. A  small, shy, fast mover, that keeps in the shade makes him a difficult subject to photograph. Hope you enjoy this image captured while on a trail in Palmetto State Park, Texas.

Spotted Sandpiper (Non-breeding)

Spotted this Sandpiper along the shore at Mitchell Lake Audubon Center, San Antonio, Texas. It was a cold, windy, rainy, day and the sandpiper was playing hard to  find making this image difficult to capture.

Image captured while walking the trails in the park. This fast moving bird presented a challenge to capture a clear, uncluttered image.

Apalachicola Fishing Fleet

This is the fleet of fishing boats that operate out of Apalachicola, Florida. We were lucky to see so many boats tied up instead of out fishing.

Houses on the River (Apalachicola)

These floating homes do not have motors so they are not considered boats. You can see two of the pilings that hold the home permanently in place along the bank. If you are interested you can actually rent one for a stay in Apalachicola, Florida.
