Bananaquit Romance

While on a birding trip to Southern Ecuador we had a chance to watch a bit of romance between two Bananaquits. I believe that this is the male making an offering to a female.

Green Honeycreeper (Immature male) – Southern Ecuador

This image was difficult to identify the bird since it does not show the coloring of a male or a female Green Honeycreeper, in this case it turnout to be and immature male. Most of the images that we see on the internet and identification guides show mature birds or very young birds making it difficult to fell confident in an identification of an immature in this stage of transformation to adulthood.
