Puss Caterpillar

Walking in the woods at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park I saw this soft fluffy caterpillar resting on a leaf. It looked as if it had floated there, looking so light and soft. Was I tempted to touch it? No, the puss caterpillar is one of the most venomous caterpillars in the United States. I had a friend touch one and they were in pain for hours, so I was not tempted to test the results of touching one.
