What is that?
A Red-bellied Woodpecker (Melanerpes carolinus) is giving the snag it is standing on a strange look, as if to say, “What is that?”  Image captured while visiting Faver-Dykes State Park, in Florida.

Barred Owl (Strix varia)

When you go for an evening walk at Faver-Dykes State Park, in Florida you never know what you might see. Tonight I was treated to a Barred Owl sitting on a branch. It was in no hurry to leave and I captured this image in low light conditions.

Northern Parula (Setophaga americana)

We have just arrived at Faver-Dykes State Park, in Florida and I went for an evening walk. This Northern Parula popped up on a snag and posed for the camera. Wish all the birds would be this cooperative.

Anna Olivier (Harry P. Leu Gardens)

Rosa hybrid, ‘Anna Olivier’ Rosaceae, Tea Rose, introduced 1872 as seen while visiting Harry P. Leu Gardens, near Orlando, Florida. Image was captured shortly after the gardens opened to the public before the breezes started blowing, allowing me to capture this image with a greater depth of field keeping almost the entire flower in focus.

White Rose (Harry P. Leu Gardens)

I have found white flowers to be very difficult to capture in an image that shows their texture and not be over exposed. I believe that this is the best image that I have captured of a white rose and wanted to share it with you. The image was captured in the early morning while visiting Harry P. Leu Gardens, near Orlando, Florida.
